Reminiscent of Samantha Crawford

Over the summer I was watching the old TV series Maverick.  I loved the character of Samantha Crawford who worked her wiles on the Maverick brothers.  She wore such beautiful necklaces with her gowns.  It inspired me to create a "dangly" collar necklace.

I love how light and airy this necklace came out.  It is a nice blend of beadweaving and stringing to create the chain.  I love the look of the crystal rondelles that I found at my local beadstore.  They could easily be substituted with bicone crystals as well. It can be worn with a turtleneck as easily as a scoop neck.  I hope you enjoyed seeing my latest creation.

Christmas Gift - Emilia Necklace

My boys had a snow day today with no school.  So I got to play with my beads.  I made another version of the Emilia necklace using olive & light champagne fire polish and creamrose & creamy pink pearls.  This is a gift for a gift exchange at work.  I love how light and airy it came out.  What are you working on for Christmas gifts this year?  I would love to hear about it!

Long time...

I am sorry it has been so long since I last posted.  Life with two teenage boys seems to consume me!!  It is all good though because it is important to spend time with them and I enjoy it for the most part.  I have still been beading and have posted a few new patterns at and at

I wanted to share this one with you today.  It is very special to me.  Someone close to me has had a rough year overcoming challenges from the past.  She has worked very hard to face the past and to move on.  I am so proud of her.  As I thought about her year, I kept thinking of the peaks and valleys we all face in life and how when we face them, they make something beautiful.  That was the inspiration for this necklace and bracelet.  They both work up quickly and make beautiful gifts. I hope you like them.

They will be up on soon and are on now.

Another lovely pattern I posted this year that is perfect for wearing with a turtleneck and sweater this winter is Makarios.  Makarios means happy or blessed.  I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas holiday season!!
